Celebrating the emerging poets

The highest poetry prize in Africa has shortlited nine Poets for 2009 NLNG Nigeria Prize for Literature. They emerged from a total of 131 qualified entries, They are Lindsay Barret, Ademola Dasylva, Hyginus Ekwuazi, Nengi Josef Ilagha, Ahmed Maiwada, Ebinyo Ogbowei, Odoh Diego Okenyodo, Musa Idris Okpanachi, and Omo Uwaifo. From the shortlist of nine submissions, three entries will be selected and presented some early October to lead the way for the final winner will be selected.
